Advice & Support

Advice we offer

At Unique Care, we believe in the power of genuine connection and purposeful living. Our dedicated team encourages clients to remain engaged, sociable, and independent whether that’s through a gentle walk in the park, meaningful conversation, or a shared activity.

Together, we create moments that uplift and empower.

We offer warm personalised support to help adults live independently at home or in the community. Our carers build trusted relationships and support with meaningful daily home care tasks from enjoying a cup of tea and good company to helping with errands hobbies or appointments.

Monique brought warmth, patience, and genuine compassion into our home. She built a trusting relationship with our father, gently engaging him in daily routines and meaningful moments that brought comfort, dignity, and even the occasional smile […] Looking back now, we honestly can’t imagine how we would have managed without her. She wasn’t just a carer—she became a vital part of our family’s support system. ”

Voluntary Roles to Combat Mental Health Challenges and Rebuild Confidence

At Unique Care, we support adults who may have lost confidence due to changes in health, mental wellbeing, or learning disabilities. We believe everyone deserves to feel purposeful, included, and connected.

Whether it’s helping someone rediscover a hobby, regain the confidence to travel independently, or explore a voluntary role that brings joy and structure, our approach is always personalised and compassionate.

One of our clients had completely lost confidence going out alone. We laminated his journey plan and accompanied him  more than 30 times  so he could learn the route and feel safe. Each time, we stayed just behind him on the train, offering quiet reassurance. Eventually, he was able to travel independently again. We even helped set up an app so that if he got lost, we could find him quickly and enjoy travelling to football .

Volunteering a role – sense of purpose

If someone is interested in volunteering, we explore their strengths and interests, and help them find a role that suits them  giving them purpose, social connection, and a path to rebuilding confidence.

Support we offer

We offer personalised support to adult individuals for a minimum of 3-hours at a time.

From walks in the park to post-hospital recovery at home, our carers gently encourage movement, healthy habits, and confidence-building routines at your pace.

We work alongside physiotherapists after someone has had hip or knee replacement – we will follow through exercises with physio daily – this will give the family confidence and hospital that the carers are assisting with to bring back flexibility hip and joint strength back quicker.
