We are a private bespoke care provider whereby we support people in the community on a 1:1 basis by providing Personal Carers with years of experience in the industry.
Driven by compassion and a clear vision, Monique Gaby founded Unique Care in 2017 to address a growing problem in home support: too many short, rushed visits that left vulnerable people feeling isolated, unheard, and underserved. She launched Unique Care with a bold ethos âcare is more than a service, it’s a relationship built on trust, compassion and time.â
Under Moniqueâs leadership, Unique Care stands apart through its focus on longer, unhurried visits, a minimum of three hours per call, and carefully crafted, person-centred care plans. Her aim has always been to foster deeper connections and real dignity within home care supporting clients and families to make meaningful choices and enhance independence.
As founder-director, Monique oversees the heart of the company, ensuring every carer shares Unique Careâs values: compassion, kindness, trustworthiness, and dedication. She built a thorough recruitment and training process so every team member is fully aligned with this ethos. Today, Unique Care continues to grow its culture of warmth and integrity across Hertfordshire and beyond.
Moniqueâs leadership is defined by thoughtful innovation and genuine care. She has created a bespoke service that blends high-quality support such as dementia companionship, hospital discharge assistance, culturally aware support for Jewish families, and post-hospital rehabilitation with a compassionate human touch.
In addition, the service extends to caring for any adult who is unable to function independently or is struggling to cope with daily tasks, ensuring they receive the dignity, attention and support they deserve.
Outside of work, I love long walks with my Tibetan Terriers, Denzel and Barney, spending time with my husband, baking and creating deliciously naughty cakes, love photography capturing candid shots, and for all my sins have run 7 half marathons and I have registered for the London Marathon to run for the Dementia Charity, still deciding if I am brave enough to hear the result! âșïž

Communication is a key factor that we work closely with families to ensure great feedback after each session.
Our team is dedicated, compassionate and driven by the belief that every person deserves to thrive, not just cope. We work to combat isolation by actively involving our clients in their communities encouraging social engagement and access to stimulating activities. These moments often become a lifeline reigniting joy, connection and purpose.
Our carers also collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to tailor support that promotes movement, confidence and strength. Whether itâs reducing the risk of falls or improving mobility we focus on practical progress and emotional wellbeing because to us care means both. đ©·

Debbie has worked in a hospital environment supporting nursing at Royal Free.
Elizabeth can work in residential care also with great experience with Dementia and
Alzheimerâs challenging behaviours.
